decorating

This is just the first step in my meager Holiday Decorations for my little Front-Door-Porch---I don't do too much...and what will be added are a few more Poinsettia Plants and, perhaps, a little tree......But, if you want to see a really special beautiful magical Christmas display, go to Joey's Pad.....here.......and be sure to see the very last picture. I so wish he could drop by my place from 'across the pond' and brighten up my little Patio for The Holidays..........What he did, and what more he will do, is my dream of what Christmas should look like........

More To Come..........

Joey puts me to shame too. I'm pretty low key about decorations but I do love my tree this year. Your Santa looks nice against the white. I fixed the link to the strange trees. Here it is: http://www.floridatopblogs.com/Ibeati/2011/12/01/Thursday_13-_13_Different_Christmas_trees__

Awww thank you Naomi! I'd love to decorate your home too! It is a lot of fun, although I do swear a bit under my breath when things go wrong. Like at the start one of the snowflakes in the ceiling kept hitting Father Christmas on the head! :D

We also have a more traditional Christmas tree in the hall as well.

I love your Santa on the reindeer!

Thanks for the shout out, you are such a sweetie.

I really like your Santa astride the smashing deer. Hope he is safe by your door.
I agree about Joey's job. He really did a great job. We could keep him busy on this side of the pond.

I like yours and Joey's too-- simple elegant and fun. I didn't do a lot either this year although more than I originally planned when we had two of the grandsons for one day. Without them coming, I'd not have cared.

Love your decorations, Naomi!
So nice the kind Santa on the reindeer and the basket full of gorgeous red flowers.

Did you know that me and you are in synchronicity? This year I don't will have a Christmas tree, but I will buy some pots of Poinsettia, too. These red flowers looks so Christmas to me.

I am amazed by the magical Christmas display of Joey! Fantastic!

We're doing ours the German way and starting today with decorating the tree and putting up all the frills. My daughter's home from college and she's glad we waited.

Love the Santa, btw.

Cheers.

I think your reindeer and Santa looks great! And the poinsettia is a Christmas plant here, but we have to keep them indoors, out of the cold.

I don't usually decorate much for Christmas either. It's too cold. This year I've had to make a little more effort because we're having a neighborhood holiday thing, so I've cleaned more and decorated more keeping in mind about 20+ people will be in my house.

I finally have my (artificial) tree up, and Callum helped me decorate it. But mostly he took all the tiny musical instrument decorations (drum, trumpet, violins etc) and made a make believe orchestra playing Christmas songs.
I love your big reindeer.... are you sure Santa's not too heavy for him?

Naomi,
you are just PRO, whatever you do.
I know it takes more than time. It takes something you just have. A Gift - the difference between the buyer and those who create.
You create:-)

btw. In the last week I have been concentrating on my Daughter and his Son. Just postes...

I went to look at Joey’s Pad to see his Christmas decorations – beautiful! I’ll have to go back to his blog as it looks interesting. This year with being sick we had absolutely no decorations, maybe next year… I missed that. I like your decoration – it is very nice.
