side by side

Oh, we ain't got a barrel of money,Maybe we're ragged and funny.... But we'll travel along.... Singing a song..... Side by side. Don't know what's comin' tomorrow...... What if it's trouble and sorrow? But we'll travel the road, Sharing our load, Side by side....... Through all kinds of weather---- What if the sky should fall?Just as long as we're together........ It doesn't matter at all....... When they've all had their quarrels and parted.....We'll be the same as we started..... Just a-traveling along..... Singing a song, Side by side..........

And now.....they have flown out of the nest and they are on their own, and the cycle of life goes on and on and on......!

More To Come........

And judging by these sweet pictures it was as if they knew you were singing about them. Beautiful pictures.

Your "grand-doves" are thriving quite nicely, it seems, while preening for your camera to boot.

Cheers.

The first time I heard that song, it was the Osmond Brothers singing it on the Andy Williams show. Glad the birdies have successfully grown and left the nest.

That's really cute. We got to see that last year when we were in Tucson, seeing them in the next and then on their own around the pool but nothing as detailed as you captured for a photo.

How fast they've grown! I'm guessing they've signed up for a travelling reality road show now - but we all know they cut their beaks and learned all they know right here, with you!

Wow! They grow up so quickly! I have a garden that seems to be full of baby sparrows on my feeders lately - little bundles of fluff! I also found a baby Jackdaw that had fallen from it's nest. I popped it in my pocket and took it to a rescue centre but sadly it died a day or so later. Nature is wonderful but it can also be a harsh mistress.
