more exotica

More Edges.....More Exotica.....This was a beautiful Rose that had so many shades of color....and the edges kind of rippled in a way like waves in the ocean....light waves...slow tropical-type waves.... Another flower with very pretty edges....And such a gorgeous color.... And another view if the same flower,,,,I love how those lower edges have this tiny bit of a dark line...Like a very close eye-liner....And especially next to the green....What is it about flowers that just give me sooooo very much? The beauty of the colors and the shapes...often, it is certain colors next to each other....like in the above picture....It pleases me in such a wonderful way that it utterly relaxes me...... The edges and the shadows on each petal from the sunlight....So very very pretty.... Another flower....another gorgeous color....and some more edges and shadows.....And then below....A series of photos of the same flower from different angles and in different closer looks......This is such a pretty color, too...... Notice the edges above.....And the gradations of color going towards the center.....You can see that the edges as you get towards the center have quite a lot of distinction..... The variations of color is just stunning to me.....Subtle, and so very beautiful......Look at the upper right area in this picture below....I particularly love those edges....Same flower, slightly different angle..... And then....about as close as you can get going into the center of this same flower. As always, looking closely at Natures creations opens ones eyes to so much beauty...... And then, if you back up and just focus on some of the petals once again.....the picture below is what you see..... More beautiful subtle edges....And all of these variations are just what you see on one flower, if you take the time to study it in a more careful way.......

More To Come.......

Note: I'm still pretty overwhelmed with many "life" things, all of which have kept me away from visiting you all----I am struggling to just come up with a new post right now, so please do forgive me.....As you can see, it is very very early in the morning now....On top of everything else I am not getting much sleep.....This too shall pass......

Naomi I do hope you start getting some sleep. It makes it so hard to feel well during the day. I will be thinking of you and sending your warm wishes.

When you do these type prints I always think of Georgia O'Keeffe

Dear Naomi,
Why not write a post on what is going on with you - the 'life' stuff, and all of us will send you so much love and good wishes and care that you are sure to feel better soon :)
((HUGS))
The peach rose at the top was my favorite... such delicately lovely gradations of color. How can anyone think that there isn't a God when you see that ?!?

Having trouble getting to sleep? Try this---Find a comfortable position lying on your back-- relax, then stare upward and imagine you are looking at the periwinkle blue Florida sky--no clouds, nothing within your field of vision, just that very special blue. The temperature is perfect and if you oncentrate, you'll hear the surf, even detect a slightly fishy smell (lol). You'll drift off to sleep pdq!

You need good solid sleep to keep on top of it all, so banish the illegitimi who seek to carborundum you from your consciousness!

Oh, Naomi, just hang in there. I know how very frustrating it can be to not feel well, and then have insomnia on top of it all. It's a terrible cycle, because if you could just sleep, you could feel better. (sigh) I'm so sorry you're having a tough time.

Know that you're loved and that all of us who come here are visiting not just for your clever posts, of which there are plenty, but also because we care about you and want to know that you're OK.

It's a gray, dreary, stormy day here and I popped in only to see the beautiful colors. As the old commercial said, "Thanks. I needed that."

As for "life," hang in there, dear.

Cheers.

Well, exotica works for me. These flowers are gorgeous.

I've been under the weather myself lately and I could use a little r & r. I woke up at 3:20 a.m. last night and couldn't fall back asleep until 15 min. before the alarm rang.

I've looked like "who flung it and ran" all day today today. Lucky for you, you can't see me! lol

But enough about me and the flowers, how are YOU, my friend?

I do hope you're feeling better, Naomi. Take good care and don't worry about us. We'll be here rain or shine. ;)

I just imagined a whole show of these in large frames with some essential oil of rose wafting through the gallery. They make my heart feel light and I love the word exotica.
