I want to wish each and every one of you that celebrates Thanksgiving a Very Very Happy One....May you be with those you love and enjoy the spirit of the day........And, Eat Really Well!
And, of course, if you are lucky enough....I hope you enjoy one or two of these, as well.......!
Yes....My very favorite part of Thanksgiving are the Chocolate Turkeys. This has been a tradition from when I was a child....So, having Chocolate Turkeys at Thanksgiving, is a "must". And....if you do not have any Chocolate Turkeys, I do hope you have some of this really swell traditional Pie as shown below.......A great finish to a Happy Meal......
I just want to say that I give great Thanks to all the wonderful special people I have met through this amazing phenomenon called "Blogging"....It is a real bonus and a magnificent experience making friends through this special medium....So, Thank You ALL, dear blog buddies from all over the world for your beautiful comments and your generous support and your very important and special friendship. Your hearts are bigger than anyone could possibly imagine....and this is a great great Gift to me.....! Blessing's On You All, on this very special day of Thanksgiving, 2008.....

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Good food, good times with family and friends...it doesn't matter what religion or even if you follow a religion, this is a day that anyone can celebrate. All of us can find something to be thankful for, even in the most dismal of times. It's a holiday to reflect on our lives, without the stresses of shopping, gift giving or decorating. I just hope my turkey LOOKS that good. It will most likely taste good....I mean, you can't screw up a turkey, can ya?
Oh well, The best I can hope for with this dinner is that the turkey is done on time and we are not waiting till 10PM like we did on our second Thanksgiving together! LOL He goes in the oven at midnight and should be done by noon -- 29 pounder.

Happy Thanksgiving! The rest of our family has left town so my husband and I are doing something different. Dinner with our neighbors of 21 years. It's his 58th birthday- he was just laid off his job of 29 &1/2 years. But we are celebrating new beginnings.

Having grown up on the East coast, and then lived in Chicago for years, I have always gone to either Fanny Farmer and Fannie May Candy shops to get our chocolate turkey, and delicious assorted chocolates.
